Best Rooting

Eligibility: This category celebrates exceptional hair rooting skills. Artists who have mastered the art of rooting hair on their dolls are encouraged to enter.

Judging Criteria:

• Eyebrows should be either painted or rooted with a natural growth pattern and layered or realistically rooted.

• Hair must be fully rooted and finished. No partially rooted heads or bald spots.

• The hair should exhibit natural growth patterns, with only one hair per follicle if rooted.

• The hairstyle should be age-appropriate for the doll.

• The texture of the hair should match the natural texture for the doll’s age.

• Overall presentation and aesthetic appeal will be evaluated.

• Mastery of the rooting concept and design will be considered.
